My eyes filled with tears when I peered into the large, glass globe terrarium. I was speechless, I felt as if I had somehow given birth! After two weeks of being enclosed in its jade-green chrysalis, the caterpillar's transforming housing had in the night, turned transparent so that the newly formed Monarch butterfly was visible through its walls. Slowly and very quietly it began to emerge from its metamorphic chamber. It was absolutely stunning. The butterfly had to strive t
I am still amazed at what so quickly took place in the milkweed filled terrarium on my dining table. The two week old, two-inch-long caterpillar grew 2,000 times the size she was upon hatching from her egg. It is hard to imagine such rapid growth in so short of a time period. It is due to the butterfly's nutritio
Incredible! It is all true! The Monarch caterpillar we found after Mass three weeks ago (pictured) did exactly as I expected. It went through all of the appropriate stages of the life cycle that a Monarch should, but funnily enough, it all happened so quickly and it caught me by surprise! It is one thing to read about something in a book and another thing altogether to experience it first hand. Have you ever found that to be true? Any mother can attest--reading about having a

Keep your eyes peeled as we did and God lovingly placed one on our path while coming out of Mass the other day! These next six blogs are based on themes from my book BORN TO SOAR, UNLEASHING GOD'S WORD IN YOUR LIFE. If you have not read it, order it and begin it soon. It is the perfect way to start your fall..
