delightful!

At the start of this Holy Land Pilgrimage I asked each person to pray and to choose one encouraging word that they felt that God had placed into their heart to inspire them along this journey:

Thankful

Grateful

Rest

Joyful

Glorious

Inspired

Wonder

Openness

Surrender

Are just to name a few.

Mine was “Delightful!”

I can say that traveling with such an amazing group of twenty-one women (and a few men: guide, bus driver and Priest!) has been more than delightful-- it has been heavenly! At each stop Jesus has met us through Word, Sacrament, one another and GEOGRAPHY! What a blessing to be HERE where Jesus walked!

What one word do you feel God would like to give to you to keep your focus in life and bring you back to the center where God dwells within? “All the way to heaven is heaven, because Jesus said, 'I am the way'" wrote St. Catherine of Siena. Pray and ask Him to encourage you along your path--whether here or there or anywhere your pilgrim feet may take you*. Each day is an adventure to be discovered when you are living it to please Our Lord.

And speaking of adventure--we certainly have had our share! Yesterday alone we clocked over 20,000 steps scrambling over the Temple Mount archeological sight, climbing up the ancient and sacred stairway leading to Calvary, ducking low to enter into the Holy Sepulcher and discovering out of the way corners both old and new of historic Jerusalem.

Trying to put it into words would take way too long--so click here and let the pictures do the talking. Enjoy… and pray about coming with us on the next Pilgrimage. There is no substitution for experiencing it all for yourself. God bless you and pray for us! We leave for Petra tomorrow following in the Footsteps of Moses!

How...delightful!

“Find your delight in the LORD who will give you your heart’s desire.” Psalm 37:4

Dear Lord,

Please give me the grace to live a life that is pleasing to You --no matter where I am on this planet! Help me to know that I am delightful to You, not because of what I do... but because of Whose I am, Yours!

I ask this in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Photo above taken at the edge of the Sea of Galilee where we waded in and contemplated upon large rocks. Truly delightful!
