true love

“'Therefore I am now going to allure her;

I will lead her into the wilderness

and speak tenderly to her.

There she will respond as in the days of her youth,

as in the day she came up out of Egypt.

'In that day,' declares the Lord,

'you will call me ‘my husband’;

you will no longer call me ‘my master.’...

I will betroth you to me forever;

I will betroth you in righteousness and justice,

in love and compassion.

I will betroth you in faithfulness,

and you will acknowledge the Lord.'” Hosea 2:14-20

Have you ever been wooed by God?

His love is ever-new and all around us. He whispers in the breeze, showers us with beauty in sunsets and flowers and fills the air with a symphony of bird songs and cricket chirps, just to show He cares.

True, everlasting, pure and holy love is found rooted in the God Who is Love itself. The One Who modeled us out of the clay of His earth to resemble His Own image and breathed life into our listless bodies is still able to create, revive and renew.

Have you lost that “lovin’ feeling?” Ask the God Who makes all things new to enkindle in your heart the flame of eternal love. Only He can bring the Holy fire, our response is to fan the flame.

Ask God to touch your heart in a special way this very day and make you fall in love with Him all over again (or perhaps for the very first time). His love never disappoints, never runs out, never gives up and never grows old. Thanks be to God.
