speak up... please

I can’t hear You- could You please speak a little louder? Ever feel like you are showing up for prayer, but God is not? Don’t despair. It is in these times He is the closest, even when you don’t feel, see signs or hear Him speaking to you in any way. When these times come...love God with your whole head, even if you can’t love Him with your whole heart. Trust in what you know and have experienced* to be true--God is there, even if all that is in you says otherwise.

The feelings, the consolations-- they come and go--but God remains forever. Trust in this.

This too, blessedly, shall pass.

Dear Lord,

I pray that You will give me the faith to trust fully in You, even when I can not hear, feel or perceive You in any way. Hear my cry and comfort me and lead me into a deeper union with You.

I ask this in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
