LIGHT THE CITY GEORGETOWN -- September 11, 2016.

This year’s event is in honor of the fifteenth memorial of 911.

Please come and bring friends and family to hear THREE TIME GRAMMY WINNER ASHLEY CLEVELAND at the Ecumenical Vigil Service and Concert and then be a HUMAN LUMINARY for FAITH, PEACE, AND UNITY as you visit your choice of the 14 HISTORIC HOUSES OF WORSHIP* that will be OPEN throughout Georgetown, saying a prayer at each stop along the way. We will end, once again, at Epiphany Catholic Church with a reception.

Georgetown Candlelight Historic House of Worship Tour and Concert in Commemoration of the 15th Memorial of 9-11

-5:00 Concert by 3 time-Grammy winner Ashley Cleveland and Ecumenical Vigil Service at Georgetown Visitation Nolan Center, 1524 34th street, Co-hosted by National Community Church. Free parking available.

-6:15-6:30 Receive a candle, a map, and a list of the 14 open historic Houses of Worship on the front steps of the Nolan Center.

-6:30-8:00 Tour the neighborhood at your own pace, visit the open Historic Houses of Worship, hear beautiful music, and say a prayer for unity and peace at each stop marked by signs and luminaires.

-8:00 End by lighting a candle and join us for a reception at Epiphany Catholic Church, 2712 Dumbarton St. NW.

-ALL FREE! (A voluntary good will offering basket will be available at the Epiphany Reception benefiting the Georgetown Ministry Center).
